You are my Reason

I loved Jesus as long as I can remember talking and walking. I had a longing ultimately to hope in him, instead of direct my path. At the age of 19, I made that decision full-heartedly to trust him.

Trusting God hasn't been easy. I'm still on a learning curve. My faith in Jesus's words helped me believe in his love for my life. I find hope because he always works the bad for good in my life.

I wrote a song about the desperation of this life without Jesus. The song, "You are my reason," is my way of telling God how much I need him. The song says, "You're my hope in the dark, you're my hope in the rain, you're my hope through the pain, you are my reason." Through these dark times, I sincerely believe his love and peace will never fade.

We all are facing this virus. There are so many unanswered questions about our future. The thought of an economic collapse is daunting. The loss of life is saddening. Even though we do not have all the answers, we have a God who is not surprised by this alarm.

I am praying for our peace during these uncertain times. The Book of John says, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (16:33)

Love Jackie
