This song is about the miracle of Love. We all have the power to chose Love. It is like having to pick a path through two open doors. The one door shows a narrow path that leads to a beautiful lake with sunset views. The other door offers a full way that begins beautiful and leads to a dark dungeon. Who wants to end up in a dark dungeon? I think we all envision ending up in a safe place in our lives. This safety comes from the power to love. To love means to empathize with others. This empathy requires patience and an effort to let go of the faults of others. 1 Corinthians 13 says Love always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. This kind of Love comes from God and Jesus laying down his life for the world. One of the verses in the song says, "This fight has just begun, but we have already won." I believe that we win through letting Jesus soften our hearts so we can open up and love others. We all have our faults. We do not have to take ourselves too seriously, so the Love in us won't fail. In this life, we will have hard times and broken relationships. Not everyone can open up and let down their guard. Some people have experienced more damage than others. Like the song says, let us take the pen and color it in red from the Love that isn't dead. Then we are open to the beauty of each other's souls.
